Caught in the Stress Cycling Machine?

stress cycleEverywhere I go, I hear someone talking about stress. Maybe they are stressed out or feel overwhelmed, or their friend is or their parents are, sometimes I even hear that someone’s dog or cat is stressed and became ill. It is like an emotional and psychological cold that spreads from individual to individual and that can’t be stopped. In fact, it has increased so much, that it is now an epidemic, with staggering heights of stress taking over the work place and home life.

The demands of the 21st century lifestyle have led to a cycle of stress that each continue to spin in our lives. Whether it is an addiction, a psychological response or an emotional trigger, it continues to build and build. Eventually, the washing machine of stress may fill up with so much water that it will run over, creating bubbles of misused washing fluids we are going to have to clean up.

Stress is an amazing topic. It is one of the only symptoms that we recognize as physical, mental and emotional. It shows the deep link between our energetic field, environment and how it can eventually impact our physical being. I believe it is the first set of symptoms that will lead to an understanding of energy medicine. Hopefully, with a solution to stop the stress cycles.


The Sciences of Stress

The symptoms of stress show a direct link to the neurochemistry of the brain. It is a fight or flight response that creates a chemical reaction, linking to a physical reaction. Because this chemical reaction is often in the home or work life, it doesn’t cause one to run the other way. Instead, the impact leads to an emotional overwhelm or response system in the mind. Expectations, overwork and high amounts of stimulation are some of the responses created from the chemistry set off when stress begins.

From an energetic level, the stress is caused first in the energetic field. According to studies, stress begins with expectations. Mind projections and the surrounding environment imprint into the energy field. It is from this that the trigger of fight or flight begins. If this is set with a negative imprint or projection, it begins to cycle the energy field of the Kundalini in a backwards spiral. When the spiral moves backwards from the root to the third eye, the neurochemistry of the mind is set into motion, creating the negative stress spiral and the chemical reactions.

Today, the studies are fascinating. When there is no combat against the stress spiral, it leads to physical results. Hypertension from stress, according to one study, was at 42% before an individual was 30 years old. Other studies show that almost 50% of employees suffer from stress. Of course, this is stress that is impacting the individual at a physical level, leaving behind the monumental impact that the energy of stress creates before it begins to spin physically.

Reversing the Wash Cycle

Lifestyle and working conditions have led many to a belief that stress is simply a part of life. However, stress can eventually lead to physical injury and maybe even fatality. It is possible to live stress free. By catching stress early on and reversing the symptoms, you can get out of the wash cycle and hang out to dry, allowing yourself to enjoy more of the beauty of life.

1. Recognize the energy. Feeling frantic or overwhelmed? That is the Kundalini starting to recognize the fight or flight response and move into a negative spiral. It creates an emotion (energy in motion) that is negative, developing the anxiety, frantic and overwhelmed feelings. It is best to stop in your tracks and create a reversal of the emotional and psychological responses.

2. Reverse things that stress you. Yes, there are lifestyle and work demands. However, individuals that decide to work with the demands differently achieve more. If you can, say no. If you can’t, think and create a different projection.

For example, I work in my own business. At several points, I have reached a high stride of several clients. So much, that I didn’t know how to handle it. Of course, looking at my flow charts and sheets and amount of work that I had to do led into the stress cycle, as well as the levels of overwhelm expressed through this. What would happen is that I would get so stressed that I would reverse my success into a failure. Until the last time, when I decided that the bombardment of success and business wouldn’t lead to stress or failure. I decided I didn’t want to be stressed and that I wanted to maintain my success. I reversed what I was doing in my mind and my energy body. I worked more on meditation and less on work. I learned to breathe more and do specific Yoga exercises.

Amazingly, the work became easier. It was done faster. I had more focus. I didn’t become anxious every time I opened my computer or spoke with a client. And, my clients were happier because I was able to offer better, faster results. It was as simple as a reversal of my energetic field that was creating the stress. We are tricked into believing that a lot of work, a high lifestyle or even doing a lot equates to stress. This is a pattern brought into society that creates a negative energy spiral, which we are responsible for reversing. When one reverses the stress symptoms and works with more joy or focus, even if it is for fewer hours, it leads to more productivity and a higher energy.

3. Re-calculate your priorities. No, you don’t have to quit your job or run to the beach to eliminate stress. These are band – aid approaches that don’t get to the root of the problem. The root of stress starts in our energy field and in what we absorb from the stress around us and in our environment. It becomes a pattern in our individual lives and an accepted one in society. Re -calculate your relationship to what you are doing. Focus on meditation and your spirit more to let the rest fall into place. Re – look your perspective and the amount of energy spent on certain things. Yes, there is a science to this that you can begin to practice and associate with in your life.

Being stressed is a conscious decision. One that society is in a cycle of accepting. My fear now is that it will continue to rise, becoming epidemic on an energetic and physical level. Each individual has the ability to consciously decide to create a positive and fulfilling life away from stress and from the negative spiral that bombards many of our lives. The positive cycle created from this will lead to an alternative reality at an individual and community level.
